Maple Leafs Lose Nailbiter to Bruins, 3-2

O'Reilly Scores Late to Give Boston the Win

The Toronto Maple Leafs lost a heartbreaker to the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night, falling 3-2 in a game that came down to the final minute. Ryan O'Reilly scored the game-winning goal with just 1:00 remaining in the third period, giving the Bruins their second straight win.

The Maple Leafs had a chance to tie the game late, but Auston Matthews' shot hit the post with just seconds remaining. It was a tough loss for the Maple Leafs, who are now 3-4-1 in their last eight games.

The Bruins took the lead in the first period on a goal by Brad Marchand. The Maple Leafs tied the game in the second period on a goal by Morgan Rielly, but the Bruins regained the lead in the third period on a goal by David Pastrnak.

The Maple Leafs will look to rebound on Thursday night when they host the Florida Panthers. The Bruins will be back in action on Friday night when they host the New York Rangers.

Post-Game Quotes

"It's a tough loss," said Maple Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe. "We played a good game, but we just couldn't get the puck in the net. We had some good chances, but we just couldn't capitalize."

"We found a way to win," said Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy. "We didn't play our best game, but we found a way to get the two points. That's all that matters."
