Tigers Overcome Witt's Grand Slam
A two-run homer by Jonathan Schoop in the eighth inning lifted the Detroit Tigers to a 7-6 win over the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday night at Kauffman Stadium.
The Tigers trailed 6-1 in the sixth inning after a grand slam by Bobby Witt Jr., but they rallied to tie the game in the seventh on a two-run single by Javier Báez and a sacrifice fly by Schoop.
Keith's Heroics
Keith's homer came off Royals reliever Scott Barlow (3-3) with one out in the eighth inning.
The Tigers have won four of their last six games and are now 24-40 on the season.
